 Hi there. :)

Work: Congress had a hearing last week on the 2010 Census, which is a bad sign.

Cougar is good. Needs an alternator and springs, but that's not news.

The trial (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/blog.php?b=17) is this week, so that's kinda on my mind...

Yeah, I'm ready for some meets! :)

Mine needs a headlight bulb, struts, pre-cats and a door lock motor. But hey, my sunroof works!

I remember that. :( Let me know how that goes. Hopefully he doesn't get away with it.

We should have a suspension meet where we do both of our struts and springs! :) (I'm planning to go with the kit BAT has - $600 for struts and springs, somewhat stiffer than stock, about 1" drop, seems good to me.)

For the trial, I'm hoping to go over Friday to hear what I can hear and hopefully hear the verdict (it's only supposed to last a week). My friend is probably not happy though - she has to stay in the witness room for the duration of the trial, and she can't discuss the case with anyone, so she has no idea how the trial is going. :(

That sounds like a good plan for you!! I can't afford a 1" drop with the razzi kit. I can barely get into the parking lot at work as it is now...

That sucks that she's sequestered. :( Hopefully things go well and the crazy guy goes to jail at least.

Fairfax County Courthouse. I don't know which room, though. Also, there are some rumors that it will go into next week, too. :(

However my first stop tomorrow morning is the dentist... I think it's supposed to be a quick in-and-out deal, but if I'm wrong and leave all novocained up, I'll probably go home instead.

I'm doing okay. School is going well. Work, ha.

The cougar, however, is not doing too great. Whilst going about a curve, I forgot to take into account the hugely decreased coefficient of kinetic friction due to (very) wet asphalt, and my velocity was a bit too high.

Now my right rear wheel (along with everything that the wheel was connected to) is bent inwards about 30 degrees from vertical, and the rim is bent. Needless to say, the cougar is in the shop getting fixed. No body damage though, thats good.

GUILTY! 35 years, no possibility of parole. He'll be 78 when he gets out of jail.

(The dentist visit went well too.)

Late post but whatever.

I'm finishing up school this semester. Taking one summer class. Business Statistics. yay.

The Cougar is up with Dom in Ohio. There seems to be an issue with 3rd gear synchro, so it's getting taken up to Terry to get looked at and get some upgrades as well. While it's up there I'll be getting COP done to it (if all goes okay with the UIM). Getting some things done here and there to it as well. It's almost time for a fresh pair of tires so I'm looking at new tires for it also.

COP?

Woohoo, statistics!

I damaged the bumper of the Cougar again. :( Not destroyed like last time. Actually it may even be fixable. *sigh*

:( Well that sucks. How did you do that?

I was unloading it, and when I pushed the clutch to start it, it rolled backwards a little. This is fairly normal and I didn't think much of it, and I have to roll it backwards anyway to get the tray to tilt downward so the ramps are on the ground. The unusual part was when it actually kept rolling and started down the ramps. I hit the brake, and I tried to use the parking brake to hold it on the ramp then drive it back on to the tray, but my timing was off and I rolled the rest of the way down the ramp, catching the bumper.

In hindsight I should've set the parking brake and left it in gear (with the engine off), gotten out and chocked the rear wheels so it wouldn't roll down farther, then drove it back on to the ramp.

But, back to the original problem: if the damn thing was actually compatible with all cars and trucks like they claimed on their website at the time, it wouldn't have been an issue in the first place!

The damage isn't actually that bad - the rubber strip along the bottom is bent at the center but you really can't see it unless you're up close (and I think it's fixable), some paint is gone, and the most noticeable part is that one section of the lower part of the bumper is up higher, in the mesh grill next to the fog light. I still think that would pop back down into place but I can't get it to do so.

Well that sucks. I'm sure it's mostly fixable (and even after that probably not worth taking in to a shop).

Sorry to hear that RJ. That trailer seems to be a nightmare for you.

Tigg: COP is Coil on plug. Basically no more plug wires for me.

Yeah. Meanwhile Trevor has a Master Tow that he has never had a single problem with, and it tows Cougars just fine. Guess what brand my next one will be?

I've now destroyed one front bumper and damaged another on the Cougar, in addition to the paint scrapes both cars have from the handle of the ratchet (I've fixed that by using bungee straps). Oh, I've had to rewire several sections of it, too. And at this point I've had it less than three years. :banghead:

I didn't know we could do a conversion to Coil on Plug - that's pretty cool.
