LONG day today!
Got outside @ Noon, and finished straightening out the carport, and moving stuff around. Swept up and was waiting for Mobilboy (Josh) to come over with his Cougar. he showed up just after 1pm.
We swapped struts, springs, brake pads and rotors all the way around, and swapped in a stock exhaust... Finished @ 9pm! So many small problems with rusty nuts and bolts, stripped threads, and eaten away Torx bolts! Got everything straightened out, and Damn, what a day!
Hope everything is still good Josh! Thanks for the BEER! :)

Everything is great! The ride is so much better and I'm not even getting any knocks or anything anymore even though I still need to replace some worn parts. Thanks again man... that turned out to be quite the job and I really appreciate you doing all that work!

Ok, so I lied a little. The knocks and rattles are still there... guess I just didn't notice them at first cause the ride isn't nearly as harsh. Oh well, it still rides 100x better than it did. I don't think I'll ever lower a car again... especially not a daily driver. I'll take ride comfort and convenience over a more aggressive stance and slightly better handling any day. Guess I'm just gettin old lol.

Oh, and I've been pretty bad about going to work lately, but I'm still a bit depressed about my friend passing...:(
Everytime I watch the Simpsons, see a red Toyota Celica (2000), or see someone playing poker on TV, I think about him. its worse being at work, every square foot of that place makes me think of him, since we had been working there for over 6 years... uuuggghhh! :ugh:
Haven't been to work since last Tuesday night, and I'm most likely going to get into some kind of trouble for being out for a 4th working day!! Oh well, they can BITE ME, for all I care right now...;)
I can't wait to start working on my freakin' Cougar...need stress relief!

I hate how employers only give berievement time if you lose an immediate family member. I had to take personal and vacation time to go home for my Aunts funeral. My grandmother on that side died before I was born, so she was like my grandmother. Considering the circumstance, it should be obvious to your supervisor that you should be allowed to take some extra time. If they can't understand that, than they are a jerk face and you should tell them what you said above. Just call work and tell them, "I have anal glaucoma. I can't see my ass coming into work today."

The same when my friend died in 2006. I had to take two days vacation time (out of the 5 I had for that half year) to go to Syracuse for his wake and funeral. Stupid corporate policies!
Greg - trust me I know it is rough, but you must also remember that you have responsibilities. I'd hate to see you without a means to support your family. I don't mean to pile on the bad feelings, but it is the way your employer is going to view it.

Oh, I know all of that. Its just so many things piled up on top of one anoher right now, and its just hard to get everything sorted out, physically and emotionally...
i did go to work tonight, and was there for 10 hours... We have a lot of extra mail coming into our building this week, because the Southern CT processing plant broke their machine! haha!

You'd need to get a real car first...
