1999 Mercury Cougar
Unbelievable condition. Looks, drives, and runs like new. Paint is glossy. No evidence of bodywork. Interior is beautiful. Even the original floor mats are like new. You gotta see this car to believe it!
Silver metallic paint,
V6 2.5 liter,
Front wheel drive,

Services performed within last 90 days:
Lower ball joints, rear struts, rear sway bar links, 4 wheel computer alignment, and computer wheel balancing.
Dunlop SP5000 runflat tires have 80-90% tread remaining. These special tires are not available in the original 215/50R16 size so the closest match; 195/55R16 is the size on the car. They are only 2/100 difference in overall diameter and slightly narrower for better winter traction.
If this all seems too good to be true, here’s the problems… warning lights. It seems that Cougars are notorious for having idiot lights come on for no apparent reason. This car is no exception. Here’s a listing of the warning lights that have come on.
Brake pad wear light... Previous owner replaced rear brake pads with pads that did not have the electric sensor on the pads. Brakes work just fine. Low coolant light... It seems to be a very common occurrence. Coolant level remains constant. I haven’t tried to replace the sensor.
Burnt out bulb light... Only goes on when car is first started. As soon as you depress brake pedal, it goes out and stays out.
I'm not aware of any other needs.
