So I stop at Publix on my way home to get some safety pins for work. I'm inside for no more than 5 minutes, and I come out to see this...

The ***hole didn't even have the courtesy to leave some sort of insurance or contact information!!! SON OF A *****! So I run back inside and ask the store manager if they have any lot cameras... of course they don't, what kind of grocery store would have those? :flushed:
/sarcasm

Anyway, I guess the only good thing that could come of this is maybe this will motivate me more to get that Aerogear Xtreme front bumper...

Some people out there though... :banghead::banghead::banghead:
If I see a white car driving around this island with with Laser Red scrapes down the side, so help me god

That sucks. You didn't notice any white cars in the parking lot when you went in?

yeah, there was one parked on the passenger side of me... i think it was an altima or something, but he must have just pulled through instead of backing up (you know, the way you're SUPPOSED to exit a parking lot)... and obviously didn't think he was as close to me as he was....

this happend to my ex, except she worked at the grocery store, came out and her taillight was smashed in so was her bumper, they watched the tapes and saw a Jeep hit it and take off, but ofcourse the camera is too far away to read the plates...

Me and my buddy came out of a foodstore once to find his driver side mirror dangling by the wires.

That sucks, I got gouged by this lowrider truck once, I saw them driving away as I was walking to my car but I didn't see them hit me so I didn't assume anything. People are jerks sometimes.

Yea, one day when I was driving my moms Jeep Commander, brand new, black and her pride and joy.... when she wasn't home and w/o permission  I accidently hit out garage door siding when pulling in and did the same thing to the front bumper.

I got an abrasive sponge, put some orange cleaner on the front and just scrubbed like holy hell. Took some elbow but it came off eventually and my mom was none the wiser. Since it's someone that gave you some paint, it should rub off, if not, a body shop can probably do it for not that much.

well the bumper was a bit cracked at the bottom when i got the car so this may just be enough to motivate me to get that Aerogear Xtreme front bumper:tongue:

Maybe it was some old person and they didn't even realize what they did. I saw that happen once outside a post office. Lady backed into a car and kept on giving it gas, smashing into it further, then started to drive away, but hit another car.... lol.

i do that too but it pisses me off is when i come out and see 6 cars parked next to me that weren't there before and there are dozens of other spots they could have taken.

Aww man, that sucks. Had something like this happen once when my mom owned her BMW 318i. Parked in the parking lot of some little grocery store, and some lifted truck gouged in the drivers side door when pulling out. An ugly 6 inch deap gash, made it so you couldn't unlock the door from the outside. OOOOOOH she was pissed. She'd been wanting a bimmer for years.

A year later, the computer went out, $650 to replace. Got rid of the car.

I parked next to some Sonata at a Satples one time on a windy day, when I opened the door I didn't account for the wind I lost it. It hit the Sonata but there was no damage. It's just funny that at the perfect time the only person that was coming out of the Staples and saw it was the woman who owned the car.

Not trying to be a dick, but those look like you clipped someone while you were backing out with your wheels turned. Or I just can't figure out how in a normal parking lot you get the front of your car scratched sideways.

thats the reason why i park way away from everyone else in the parking lots, hell i can use the extra exercise anyway

i park away from everyone as well, but if you think about it, if you park TOO far away, theres a chance of someone swiping your car when cutting through the parking lot spaces, which you are obviously not supposed to do....and then if your local grocery store parking lot is sloped downhill like the Walmart one where i live then...well....two words....shopping carts, people just let the things go and dont take a few seconds to put them back in their designated areas. Parking lots just arent safe period, ill usually try and find a nice clean expensive car to park beside if i can...

no i promise, it wasn't my fault.
i'm not quite sure how he did it either, i just assumed he pulled forward out of the space and cut too hard left and dragged his driver side across the corner of my bumper. Thats the only thing that makes sense to me :banghead:

X2!

but does it count that when I am driving a 93' Caprice Wagon and park with about a mirrors distance between?

...but really parking lots are for nubs... I work retail, and I go to school...
I have come out to my car from class to see Mcdonald's fries hewn all over my car and my alarm going off... and a nice door ding...

I park as far back as possible...

The only time I caught someone set my alarm off.. was a women carring her baby at church... she didn't scratch it or anything... just bumped it hard enough with the car seat...

as for dumb luck... everything I fix gets a new ding within a month...

Hell my friend's parents have a car lot that sells some vettes & other sick rides. Just last week his dad went to Subway to get lunch, wasn't in there but 5 minutes & now he needs to replace a rear quarter panel on a C6. Some a**hat hit & ran leaving a nice 8" circle of damage.

sorry to see that man. i guess you will join the crowd that parks in the back of parking lots and just walks in.....my wife hates it when i do it. thats probally why we tend to drive her mini suv around when i am actually home. plus we dont have to worry about swapping around the car seat....

i used to park far away but then i realized that no matter where you park someone always manages to hit your car. Now i find the closest spot and haven't had a "new" door ding in like 2 years. Guess they don't wanna feel the wrath of this cougar owner.

Park next to the nicest car you can find...

As for the old person comment, you'd be surprised what they do.
One day I came out to find a guy had somehow parked his car dodge shadow IIRC
his bumper right up against the front drivers side wheel/tire of my tahoe... I couldn't
get in the tahoe, not sure how he pulled this off, but when he came out
he could barely walk, so I knew driving was an issue, I ended up calling the
police on the guy, he was clearly a hazard. Had he tried to back out of his spot, he
would have ripped his front bumper off. The police lady was nearly in tears keeping from laughing at the situation, but she wouldn't let him back in the car..
He ended up having to get a ride home, she was recommending license being revoked.

That sounds right. Never thought of them pulling forward. I fail.
