I-65 to close for 9 months in Gary, IN
Truckers who normally take I-65 through Gary, IN, are going to have to pick a bypass starting on Saturday, March 1.

Beginning Saturday, a 1.5-mile stretch of the interstate will be shut down and remain closed until November. The Indiana Department of Transportation has laid out nine approved detours.

The Indiana DOT plans to rebuild the bridges that carry I-65 over I-80/I-94.

65 north of I94 will be shut down. should be interesting

I normally take 65 to 80 to get to my customers. That will remain open correct? Though the traffic is going to sky rocket even more.

came home this way this morning. 65 now stops at I 94 so traffic going onto hwy 30 was great i could move all the way left right away.

if you want to get to 80 you are going to have to take 94 west which is going to be a PITA i would try it once, but you might be better off taking hwy 30 west to either broadway or indianapolis and take that up. you could also go through griffith/highland and take cline to 94 but thats a couple more roads to take

Cline is what I end up needing anyway, so I'll give that a try.

I'm not sure of the roads, I just remember I get off Cline. It's the Inland Steel Plant though... right next to the casino's.

HS? High school?
