Welcome to the addiction!
Edit:: I recommend buying a die, and cutting your stock shifter down to the desired height, after threading it down with the die of course. It's hell of a lot cheaper, and custom! :) Check here: CuttingDownStockShifter (http://www.angelfire.com/super/cat88/cutting_down_stock_shifter.htm)

If you don't feel like cutting down your own shifter check out Pro-Motion Tuning, LLC (http://www.promotiontuning.com). They have a couple available there.

Welcome
The cougar (Part of the cdw-27 platform) has a decent aftermarket. Headers, intake, exhaust, etc etc. Plenty of sites. Just one rule. Do it once, do it right. No cheap parts or labor.
wouldnt order it there if you hope to get it on during summer

and not to hijack the thread, but can someone direct me to an install guide for this one if it works?

Yes, I have the B&M shifter. They used to have install directions on their website.

Are the 4cyl and the 6cyl shifters the same?
Are the 4cyl and the 6cyl shifters the same?
yes.
And B&M part is the best IMO since they have the best warranty and usually wont break as often as the ebay ones.
I bought my first one off ebay and it broke on me at the toll booth. B&M later, no problems since.
Of course B&M part is bit more expensive but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

yea i have one off ebay and the pin keeps poppin out! so its def time to invest in a good b&m. oh and i asked a professional on a website if the 4 and 6 cyl shifters were the same and he told me they werent.

Welcome, the b&m can usually be had off ebay for like $100. it's definitely worth it. I had the Custom Cougars (ProMotion Tuning) one and it broke on me after about two months so I'd definitely not bother with that one.
