OK, everyone is Officially invited over this Sunday to do whatever.
After my friend passed away, I just want to hang out with my Mass/Conn and CEG friends for a day, and just enjoy your company! :)
Its been a tough week for me. And I just want to spend a day with friends, and enjoy a nice day. SO....
We can order some food, or cook up some burgers, dogs, steaks, whatever...
Get the heater going in the carport, and just hang out, or we can do some small modding for the day, clean our rides, whatever, anyone wants to do.
I'm up for whatever, i just want to see my friends this SUNDAY!
So, any time after 10am, please feel free to come on out to my place. Bring BEER, SODAS, WATER bottles, snacks, and goodies to eat... and I'll make a POLL for food, then we can decide what to eat early on Sudnay, then run out and get stuff to cook, or I can get it before hand, on Saturday...
Lets have a GREAT MEET, and have some fun!
PM me with any questions. Thanks! :)

hmmm, small mods, would a 3L be concidered a small mod since it can be done in one day?
Actually would the NPG front brake kit be called a small mod? I would and could do it myself but I don't have a grinder .... but with the snow fri/sat I don't know if I will be able to take the SeVT out for the day ...

I have a really small project, if I can undig the car. I need to get the lug nuts off. Actually one specific lug nut. These are original, and all chewed up (they don't make them like they used to). So greg, how strong is your impact gun? The 21 mm socket can still be tapped on fully, when you try and loosen with a breaker bar, the socket pops off, or more rides out. So I figure with a good impact, you could just get the socket on, and push inward while loosening. Then I'll have some lug nuts to scrap. I also have some $$$ for you Greg. They are letting the stripped blocks and cradles go as straight aluminum.

OK guys, GREAT to see so many want to come out for the day!! :)
We will start around 10am like usual...
The Poll looks like Steaks and kielbasa on the grill, but we might end up doing something easier... it all depends. I have to try and run out Saturday afternoon and get some stuff, so we'll see what's up.
And we are most likely hanging out in the carport, as the weather looks pretty good for Sunday, about 40-45 degrees and Sunny!
So, what I will do is check this thread on Saturday morning before NOON, and then go out and get whatever we are going to have for eats, buy some beer, sodas, and water, and then You guys can hit me with cash on Sunday... It might just make it easier that way, and i wouldn't mind getting out of the house for a few hours on Saturday...

Thanks Tony, and YES, we should be able to get the lugs off... I have a GOOD set of Bolt extractors, and hopefully will be large enough to get over the lugs... if not, I have old sockets That I can afford to hammer onto the ends and throw out in the scrap pile if necessary
And my impact gun is rated @ 500 ft/lbs for loosening TQ. Might work, might not, we'll have to see :)

Yeah, I think we are going to just order pizzas again... It looks like we are going to be doing a few mods, so pizza is just way easier than messing around with cooking and such...
Roger has an axle and bearing to replace, Tony has the lug nuts to remove, and if Andy (luminous) does indeed need a new ALT, I will have to replace that for him as well...(I'm going to change that one myself :) ), and Josh might need to swap out his struts depending on if i can find a certain part or not...
OK... See you guys on Sunday!!

Thanks again Greg for having us, and personally for helping me. I got a chance to get to know some cool people a little better. I wish I could've been in better health.
We need to have Greg day. Not a meet b/c even when you insist that you will not be fixing peoples cars, your kindness takes over, and I have benefited from that myself. We need to have a day where Greg doesn't have to get up and prepare and buy a bunch of stuff, then have his head buried in vehicles all day. He didn't even get to see the ear full of snow (highlight of the meet). He works so hard for us. I would prob hate cougars by now if he didn't help me out, and save me large amounts of money. He deserves to be king for a day.

Maybe during the summer I'll bring my bike up and let him go cruising for a while.

Thanks guys! I had a good time...
I posted this on CEG too, but the van never got finished and its still sitting in my carport. Needs the brakes bled really bad, and i don't know how soon I can get to it. I have to work early tomorrow @ 4pm. :banghead:
Today I Did NOTHING! Just after everybody left and things were cleaned up and put away, I went to take a really Hot shower because I was VERY, VERY sore, and I didn't feel too good. I ended up getting horribly sick for about 15 minutes straight, and hadn't eaten anything until 8PM tonight!!!
My whole body ached, stomach was churning all night, and I had a fever of 102!!! Gotta love those 24 hour bugs! :disgust:
I had to cancel going out to Westfield to fix that girl's Jeep, and I don't know how soon I'll be able to get out there... maybe Friday. :banghead:
Anyway, I'm glad that everyone had a good time, and its always my pleasure to get everyone together every once in a while. :)

I doubt it was my cold, however, his helping me contributed to his being out in the cold for too long(sry Greg):( When I got home I got hit with a fever that lasted for about a day, but I am happy to have working car(thanks Greg). I hope that you are feeling better. When the sun went down the cold was almost unbearable. I can't wait for the winter to end.
