So I was wanting to get a superchip and I have a buddy that has one for a 99 mercury cougar v6 auto was curious if it would work in my 99 mercury cougar v6 manual?? didnt know if it messed with comp. somebody repy as soon as possible need to know asap. thanks

the chip itself would fit but it wouldnt work due to a different computer code and different appliciations (atx vs mtx). you would need to have it reflashed, it would be better if you got the car on a dyno and had the shop tweek it to your specific car

The blue "piggy-back" chip formerly available through SuperChips had the same program for all V6 applications, whether Ford Contour or Mercury Cougar. Let me know if you want a copy of the install manual.
Note that you must run premium grade gasoline when using the chip.

yeha i still have a copy of the install manual too if u need it that Gary sent to me for the one i got from him. Thanks again man its working great by the way.
