What are the differences between 1/8 thick and 1/16, besides one is thicker does the 1/8 hold more heat in? what one would be better in an f/i app.

Are you putting this on a street car in Michigan? The reason I'm asking is that header wrap collects water and dirt which will rust out your headers faster then you can say "Oh CRAP! My headers rusted out!". I used to live in MI and the crap it collects is AMAZING! Get your headers coated instead.

Yes I do live in michigan, but My car is in storage for winters, and I don't drive it in bad weather. My headers are coated, as I stated, I am wrapping every thing for f/i.

or maybe do as others have and find some weapon R s. I wonder if the wrap is porous or holds moisture when left standing...G.

I would imagine the thicker stuff would provide more insulation, given that they're made of the same material (i.e. yeah, it would hold more heat in).
