SHIFTER KNOB won't go on!

This is driving me ape ****. I bought a new center console and was installing it. Looks amazing right?

Well NOW, I can't get the ****ing shifter knob (ATX) to go back on! I've stomped, pounded and pleaded with it and nothing! It just simply won't go far enough down! :disgust:

What am I doing wrong?!

What am I doing wrong?!

Make sure the wires are routed correctly and you put the shaft in the right hole, there are two holes and only one is correct. The other hole is where the wires should be run.
