I have some plug 'n play Excelcier Headlight Flashers, and I was just wondering if anyone would happen to be interested in buying them if I sold them. I was trying to get some bills paid off and this was one of the things I may consider selling. Let me know if you would be interested at all or know somebody who would be. Once again, these require no cutting or anything, just plug everything in, put a ground wire under a screw, and route the switch into your car somewhere so you can turn them on. Or you can leave the switch under the hood. PM me please. Thanks. :)

:rolleyes: Duh. I'm just seeing if there is any interest in them though. They are still on my car and not exactly for sale yet. Thanks anyways though...

Hey Ron, while you are stopping in, will your headlight flashers work with an HID kit? I'm pretty sure you said they wouldn't or that it was not recommended. But I need clarification. Thanks. :)

Quoted right from my page;

This unit is not designed to function with HID ( High Intensity Discharge ) headlight bulbs and may not function properly. Even though it may actually work without trouble in some cases, there are too many different manufacturers of HID lighting modules to guarantee that it will work properly with all of them. Only Xenon, Halogen and LED headlight bulbs are approved to work with this unit. Should this unit be installed in a vehicle with HID bulbs, Excelcier / Ron Zlotnik is not responsible for any damage caused.

Ahhh, yes. Thank you sir. :)

It physically will work with them, just not confident how long the HIDs will last being toggled on and off so often. HIDs are basically just fancy flourescent light bulbs with ballasts. You know how well flouresent bulbs like to be flipped on and off at a fast rate.... not good.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I read a couple of different somewheres that Xenon and HIDs were the same thing?

Basically yes. I made a mistake above, thanks for catching it.

HID is an abbreviation of High Intensity Discharge.
It is also referred to as a "Gas Discharge System" or Xenon system.

Xenon light is identified by the clear white/ blue/ purple light it produces.
Automotive Xenon lights require a much higher voltage to operate (typically 20~30 thousand Volt) than the normal Halogen (12/13.8V) light.
Light is not produced by a filament (as in a Halogen bulb), but by the igniting of gas mixture in a sealed bulb.
