Calling All Florida Residence!

As you may (or may not) know, Florida has a "Bright Futures" program, which allows students planning on attending college an easy way to earn scholarship (you can get 75% of in-state tuition paid for simply by making a 3.0 cumulative gpa in high school! and there is even a 100% tuition option with slightly stricter qualifications). However, Senator Jeremy Ring has proposed a bill cutting bright futures to certain areas of study (specifically, the liberal arts). What can you do? Write your district senator!!!! You can find more info at UF College Democrats (http://www.savebrightfutures.com) and they even have a step-by-step process to build a correctly organized letter. Even if you're not a student or this won't apply to you (as it won't apply to me), if you believe this is wrong, SPEAK UP!!!!
