Google is your friend. Sears, Jegs, and Summit Racing all sell do it yourself powder coating tools.
While Andrew Totolos is a bit of a tool. This show was pretty good about basic powder coating.

I use to work for a powder coating manufacturer and there's NO CHEAP way you can do it yourself. A regular spray gun cost thousand and then you need an oven to bake it then a spray boot and so on........ I did mine with mild heat resistant urethane paint (spec at continiuos 250ºF). Still have good comment after 1 year!
Just my opinion!:)

So what is the huge difference between a regular oven and the one you use for powder coating?

There is no real difference between the ovens. You can use a regular electric oven, but you can never use it to cook again.
As for the cost of doing it yourself, I have a kit from Eastwood...cost $100 and it does a great job. I have coated tons of parts for my truck, quad, etc. and they come out great. Unless you are going to do it for a living, you do not need a thousand dollar gun and professional baking ovens. The only drawback you get from the conventional over, is the size.

Yes your right it's not expensive.................... if you already have the oven, the spray boot, the protective equipemnts and so on........... 'cause you REALY don't want to breath ANY of this powder. There's realy odd stuff in this kind of coating....... But hey!!! it's your life!!!

True, but you do not have to have a booth, you can get a good respirator for $50 and you can get a used over for almost nothing...I got mine for free that someone was throwing out.
