What to do??

Yesterday I blown my engine.......:(
The oil filter colapse :banghead:

This is my daily ride, so the question is what to do????

I'll most likely sue and get some $$$ from Penzoil (filter companie) so I'm looking in a 3.0l build but can't spend 3 week without car!!!!

Any advise is welcome

if y ou sue and win you might not be able to do the 3.0 becasue they will pay to rebuild or the replace the exact engine you have and they might want a certain shop to do it.

Seems like they should pay for a rental car for the days you're without your car, up to a reasonable number of days required for a swap/rebuild (2 days, probably).

They might want a certain shop to do it, but it's not their call. They should give you the cash for a rebuild/replacement of your 2.5L, which is about enough for a 3L.

But all that presupposes you'll get money from them in the first place. Didn't the oil pressure warning light come on?

I would also add, starting a lawsuit with a huge company like that will not be something that pays you out asap. I would expect "IF" you were awarded $, you would not be seeing any for at least 6 months, if not further out.

It now look like it was either the bypass or the oil pump that triger th filter to break down :confused: Does it make any sense?????
