Growing up in southern Ohio, the tri-state area always meant Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.
I'm sure there are about 240 regions around the US that refer to themselves, in all seriousness, "THE Tri-state area".

isnt the tri-state area just reffering to where 3 states meet or sumthing haha because out here we have tri-county atv runs and thats what it means... its just where 3 corners of countys meet in one spot
