where do I get the vent accents?

Look at the greyish accents around the vents. How can I get something like that in my car? It didnt come with that.
Are there interior decals that will be shaped to the vents?

i'm about 95 percent sure its painted... you just have to take the vents out... for the side ones, just take an average size flat head and push it under the bottom of the vent. there are 2 clips you have to disengage (in the 5 and 7 o'clock positions) for it to come out and then you can paint it. and don't worry about the vinyl around them, the screwdriver will make it look like its dented but it'll go back to its original shape in an hour or so...

All 1999-2000 Cougars came with the vents that color.
All 2001-2002 Cougars came with the black around the vents. (like the ones you have)
I told you this already bra.


To get them you can either trade/buy from someone one here, or hit up the junkyard.

Yep, like they said, totally stock. Mine are painted though, not really too hard to get them out- but the entire gauge shroud must come out for the left 3.

Yeah I know you told me... thats why I am asking if anyone knows if I can maybe buy something to stick around the vents or anything to give it the accents.

Buy the 99/00 vents. Don't half-ass it if that is what you want. Why would you want to do a ****ty rattle-can paint job on it if they already make one the way you want?

Really, I've only ever pulled it from a dash that wasn't in a car, but it seemed like it would really suck if the dash was installed.
