Well I've never had a car inspection if thats what your talking about. As far as I know SC doesn't have car emissions test or anything!

Correct. No testing for SC right now. The inspection process was a joke when they had it so it was done away with a few years before i started driving.
As far as living somewhere... Charleston is a really good place. Greenville has a very good public school system. I personally live in Ridgeland. It's near Hilton Head which is a nice resort/vacation/golf spot. Plenty of financial/service sector jobs. IF i had to move somewhere in SC it would be Greenville. But i also love right where I'm at so i think I'll just stay here.

I moved here last august and have yet to have a close call with an officer... The only PITA is the car registration and taxes are "high" to the price paid in alaska. This year 171 to register my car, for one year... opposed to 104 for two years in alaska. The scene is decent, there are a couple clubs that meet around columbia, mainly mustangs and imports but rockingham is only a couple hours away. I would love to see more cougars around columbia but I'm hoping to be out west by mid summer.

Plenty of woods in SC to ride ATV's and plenty of beaches to go party on.

i looked into why its high to reg your cars and trucks in SC ive read that theres no exsize"spell" tax every year like there is in most states. so its actrully about the same as up here in mass. we are looking near mrytal beach area or withing a 20 min drive from it. but we really have no clue lol

If you are looking for something "near" Myrtle Beach try looking for a place around Florence. Florence itself is about 1.5 hours away from MB, but if you get something outside of Florence on the MB side it won't be as bad. Housing is super cheap in the Florence area compared to MB (or where i live for that matter). 3bed, 2 bath, 1800-2000 sq. ft. around Florence is 65-85k. In MB or down here where i live it will be anywhere from 150- millions (if it's on the beach).

Oh ya... Florence and surrounding area you could prolly find that size house or bigger along with a few acres for that price range.

Well... i have liability only on my cougar and full coverage on my '05 Xb. It's 180 per month. I'm 22 and have a wreckless driving ticket on my record for doing 110 in a 55.
How does that compare to insurance up there?

Not necessarily, 22 clean record and for full coverage i pay 100 a month... being so young is what rocks the insurance, plus you have to carry uninsured/underinsured coverage and we have free glass replacement with full coverage. It's cheaper than alot of places due to the lack of weather conditions in SC.
