calculations done w/ 6850rpm max engine speed and 215/55/16 tires. I also assumed the vehicle will have the power to attain such speed..

There's also other versions on the chart of the MTX-75 that i've never seen, ratio wise.

buckeyesvt posted some results with the carsoft performance meter.. I was going to enter my dyno and compare the performance differences regarding the A / B1 gearset, and final drives. The link was down though, does anyone have access to that program? (as seen in this thread (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/3-0l-duratec-performance/116695-acceleration-graph.html))

So with a 0.77:1 fifth gear and a 3.82:1 FD (fastcougar's turbo 3L) the car could go 202mph (yes, an insane notion) with a 7900rpm rev limit and stock 215/55/16 tires :crazy:

Are you looking for something like this?

:biggrin::biggrin:I concur :rofl:

As you can see in my dyno video, I can reach 150+ in 4th gear thanks to a non existant rev limiter. Based on my calcs, the most my car could see is roughly 190-192 MPH and that includes factoring in drag AND current hp/tq levels AND a 7,500 RPM limiter ... most calculators don't factor in drag. Kinda pointless since I don't have a road long enough to try it out on and I wouldn't if I did unless the car was caged and it where in some place like Bonneville.

There was a 99 EX turbo civic with a stock body that went 199.3 @ the salt flats, turbocharged b18, ~320wtq. I would want to think you could beat that civic :biggrin:

Oh my god, could a duratec spin higher than 8500?

From DemonSVT's website.

The stock components also can handle ultra high rpm (8100) and banging the rev limiter hundreds (thousands really - I lost count long ago) of times too.

Kinetics built engines for Leo Capaldi and the Mumm Brothers that wound out to over 9 grand.

I'll try it out on mine tomorrow and let you know how it goes. How high you want me to go?

Are you really going to raise your rev limiter?
