I need to replace these and I have read the Zetec FAQ thread on what plugs and wires work with this engine but can anyone tell me which brands they have had good luck with.

I'm currently using Bosch Platinum +4 and 8mm Bosch wires. No real reason, got a good deal at the time.

cool, thanks guys, I'm just debating as to whether I am going to pick up stock motorcraft parts or going aftermarket.

I just installed NAPA/Belden wires.

Lifetime warranty to original owner. OEM style with nice boots.

Autolite Double Plats = Original Motorcrafts

The Autolite wires are good in my experience too.

just cheaper ;)

True. I used the Champion DB Platium Plugs they work good. gap the plugs at .50. I used Bosch plugs running from the MSD Blaster Ignition Coil
I suggest not using The Bosch 4+ Platium plugs cause Ive heard over time they tend to misfire & decrease your car's performance.

I prefer using the original Ford Motorcraft spark plugs.
Mine lasted 67 000km and then bought new ones.

8.5mm? Used/New? How much? I'm interested, I've had a few bad misfires lately.

How so? Care to explain? I've been using them for about the same time length and really have nothing to complain about.
