Happy holidays! I've been keeping my eyes peeled for some of the clear plastic headlight lenses for a '99 cougar; if anyone has any idea where I could get my hands on a pair of unfogged lenses (the clear plastic of the headlight assembly) I would be EXTREMELY happy. I've been looking on ebay and keeping my eyes peeled on the forums for some time now, and can't seem to find a pair. Thanks a lot!

I don't know where you can get new clear headlights, though you can make them clear yourself. There is a method if you look for it on here. You bake the headlight at like 350 degrees in the oven for a couple minutes then take off the "lens" use different sand papers and sand it down and then coat it with a clear finish. Then bake the headlight again and reattach. There is a more detailed thread somewhere on here or on the internet if you look, and it will tell you the exact time and temp and sandpaper to use and in what order. I found it before, the pos plastic lens always seem to yellow and ruin. I have read that if you use the method you can make them look brand new, I've been wanting to do it, though haven't yet since I have other problems with my coug that need fixing first.

Hahah yes I did read that thread; this all happened a while back when I was installing angel eyes in my car. I was cleaning the lens and some chemical reaction corroded the left headlight lens to the point of no return; it's really bad. The light still shines, it just looks like my headlight has a bunch of snow inside of it haha. Thanks for the tip though!
