Idk about you but i was kinda surprised. Driving back to the gf's apartment last night with her in the car and i'm driving down a 4 lane road towards a hairpinned highway on-ramp. From the next light a wrx, new body style aka 06/07(looked bone stock) pulls out behind me and flys up (i was going about 50 or so) and stays right on my ass. I turn onto the ramp, drop her into second and take it at about 4k in second.(Tight hairpin On ramp) As i come out of the turn i just lay on it, bring her to 7k+ at about 65 mph and the wrx pulls to the center lane. Shift to third, and then the Gf just gives me the look of death...I just kinda laughed.I'm still on it and we are dead even no one pulling on either person. Bring her to 110 in 4th and let off, gf all scarred. The wrx proceeds to pass and flashes a thumbs up(or a finger, couldn't tell) as he speeds off. I was like a little kid on Christmas who just got a ****in awesome present.

awd sucks balls from a roll, unless you are well modded. Had it of been an 02-05, you probably would have started walking away from it. But the 06/07's have the 2.5lt and better gearing.

very cool... I assume if it hung with you it was a manual, but don't forget the regular WRX is available with an auto, which is rather slow.

Yeah, i pulled a 1/2 a car on the 2nd-3rd shift and then we stayed even, i assumed he was waiting for the turbo to spool or just was in the wrong gear at the time, it was def. manual as you could see the headlights lift from the shifting(not too smooth). Either way, i was ready to wet my pants i was so happy.

Sounds like fun. WRX's are probably my favorite kind of car to race, alongside 350z's.

You don't wait for that turbo to spool.....it's very tiny......zero lag.
