Engine w/ Turbo - get your drool bucket out

Why no paint on the valve covers?

I plan on polishing the valve covers just like the intake, however there is some minor fabrication that needs to happen to the valve covers first. Also the turbo cold side piping is all aluminum, and anything visible will be polished as well.

I'm not a fan of all that blue, but everything else looks really good. I'm sure the blue won't look so much in the engine bay too. :)

oh, and he did! :rofl: I was down visiting in July, and it was just incredible to hear him go on about how many hours he spent... I even got to touch that UIM, and its as smooth as glass! :cool:

So is that the nautilus kit? or custom...and i noticed u got the egr plugged up how does that work? doing that does it consist of special tunning for that and what gains will u achieve by doing this?

I'm curious to know if you are going to rotate the cold side housing? If not, how in the heck will you route the piping to not hit the block... but that is going to be :eek:.... nice!!

egr is blocked, tune will compensate for it

that is the nautilus kit. I believe he calls it the stage 3 kit, basically the biggest you can get

turbo is full 360* clockable, on hot and cold side.

i have just under 40 hours of labor in the intake manifold.... you start with air power grinders, move into hand sanding doing all the grits upto 1000, then move back to the air powered grinders, but this time with the polishing wheels and compound. I have done 2 compounds, and have 2 more to go which will be done after I'm satisfied its all running...

The valve covers, imrc, and anything else unpainted aluminum or stainless steel in the engine bay is or will be polished. The engine color is Ford Dark Blue, all silicone turbo couplers are dark blue, and everything else will be black. Although the turbo's compressor is polished, it will be covered by a black turbo blanket for performance and safety reasons. Luckily the pipes hide nearly the entire turbo, so it won't be a big loss.
