Damn. That is a lot of snow. I didn't get that much, but more around 11 inches. Either way, I was stuck at home.

well, my mom is about 5'6" and the snowbank beside our driveway is higher...

it actually is pretty dangerous, because you can't see around corners... if you are turning onto another road, you almost have to be half way INTO the road before you can see anyone coming. It sucks... I had an accident in 1999 because of that exact reason.

I don't know what's worse..that amount of snow or the ice we had this past weekend. I had a layer about half a centimeter thick on my car and some people still don't have power!

IT WAS there in 2006! .........briefly. :flushed: It was there from Tuesday to Thursday... Wednesday, Ottawa has a massive rainstorm and there was some flooding, so the parental unit which accompanied me took it and drove back home.

Next year it will be there... I will PUSH it if i have to!

ND4SPD
12-18-2007, 01:28 PM

I don't have any pictures from this year yet, and I really don't wanna go outside and take any right now... but these are some from last year:

This is my tunnel driveway:
http://www.newcougar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=31757&stc=1&d=1197999927

I so hated shoveling my step:
http://www.newcougar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=31758&stc=1&d=1197999927

This shot focused on the snow, but it gives a pretty good realization of the conditions:
http://www.newcougar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=31759&stc=1&d=1197999927

This shot is taken from the mountain of snow on my lawn:
http://www.newcougar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=31760&stc=1&d=1197999927

House shot. Before the snow was cleared, the entire front door and garage door was completely covered with snow. I literally had to open the garage door and beat snow inside my garage to get started before I began snowblowing. Totally crazy:

There are a bunch of houses around me with a similar design where the front door is 5-6feet off the ground like your house and I didn't quit understand the purpose of the design. Now I get it, but not in the central ohio area.
