We need a section for Cougars FOR SALE ONLY!

I've got one for the suggestion box. I was happy to see a section for Cougars for sale added a little over a year ago. However, over the last few months (particularly the last few weeks more prevalently), I've been seeing a lot more cars on there that aren't Cougars. There's even motorcycles and dare I even say.....imports?! :gtfo: in this section.

Of the first 5 cars listed that are on there right now, only 1 is a Cougar! This section is being used and abused! :banghead:

I'm wondering if at this point adding a new category for NON-COUGAR cars would be a good idea. This way we won't see so much clatter and the people wanting to sell them will have their own section.

Let me know your thoughts on this one and if it is possible.

No. This is a dumb idea. One automotive for sale section is more than enough for this board.

not to be as blunt as BBOX, but the cars being sold generally don't sell fast to begin with. There MIGHT be 1-2 cars added a week IF THAT. Which would make for a pretty dormant category. Couple that with the fact that some cars are sold and not noted, it might make a specific section appear to have a bunch of cars, but since they are old/outdated, there is really nothing.

they all list what car it is in the title though :shrug: if you are not interested in a bronco, motorcycle, scion, etc... then don't open that post.

I just thought it was a good idea as the original intention was for it to be Cougars only. Now it doesn't look that much different than the ads in the local papers. Imagine if you had to sift thru the "automotive parts and accessories" category to find parts for a lot of non-Cougars.

Didn't think it would be a big deal to add a new section.

Oh well.

Since when was the FS section "Cougars Only"? Should we ban everyone who's moved on to another car while we're at it? How about we delete every non-Cougar related post, after all, this is a COUGAR site, right? So unless you're paying for the bandwidth for each thread out of your own pocket, how is Micah posting his WRX "For Sale" hurting you? Like Goldie said, just don't click on it!

If people put the make/model of the car in the subject line, that'll help - I'm not sure if that's a current rule but if it isn't maybe it could be.
