Has anyone used champion wires? Can someone suggest what the best kind of plugs I should purchase?

go with Autolite double platinum plugs. your local parts store should have them. just look up the correct plug for the zetec. as for plug wires i recommend either the Ford Racing wires or from here (http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=276)

Who still sells Ford Racing wires? I haven't been able to find them, although I haven't searched to extensively.

THE FRPP wires are difficult to find however i think batinc.net still sells them for the focus. keep in mind that you must have the early/MSD style coil pack for them. i had FRPP wires on my car but i just installed a set of the CFM 8mm wires. you can get them in either the MSD style or the late model style coil pack ends.

i believe last time i talked to rob, he said ford is discontinuing the ford racing wires for the cougar. i might be mistaken though.

they are the same as the ones for the Focus. you just have to have either an early style coil pack or an MSD coil pack.
