Will someone please point me in the direction of a service manual for a 99 cougar V6? Or explain to me where the CPS is? I am having the same problem this guy is (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/problems/112421-car-wont-start-3.html) and would rather replace a $17 part before going straight to dropping $500 on a pcm. thank you.

The crank pos sensor is on the cam cover, WAY DOWN LOW on the passenger's side, near the front of the motor, next to the crank pulley.

thanks. i found a chilton's for the car at o-reilly's and was a able to put in a new ckp sensor and the car fired right up. what a relief.
