Time for a Meet!

Well....I want to see if I can get everyone together before winter settles in and people start putting their cars away for the winter..

So I was wondering who would be interested and whats a good date for everyone? Everyone is welcome.

Haha I say this because I put so much effort and time into the last Empire meet, and a total of maybe 3-4 cars out of 30 showed..

Date: October 19th
Time: 5 or 6ish
Marketplace Mall, in Henrietta, NY.

What's this about? I've been in Empire for a long time now (7+years), basically the only person whose been here longer than me and still an active member would be Curtis (RedBaron). Empire members are all over the place (Albany, White Plains included)- not only out West. If you want to have a meet, and have the most members show up- try a central location to EVERYONE.....

I know, I know..I didn't mean to offend anyone and I haven't forgotten about you guys to the East. Believe me I've tried to get a state wide meet going in the past, but the idea was shut down immediately.
Look at my past posts, I've tried hard to bring unity to this chapter because we are so spread out. Just look at the meet I had going that was suppost to be in May. People from all over NY and other surrounding states were coming. But a total of 3-4 showed up and no had any excuse why they didnt come.

I'm not out to say this side is better then the other blah blah.. I generally stated that the people from our area who I've met up with are from the Buffalo and Rochester area and it would be easier to get all of these people together if we had a meet in Batavia.

By all means if there is an interest in having a state wide meet I'd be more then happy to plan it, if the interested people hold true to their word. Dave knows how hard I worked on the last one.

Again, I'm sorry if I offended anyone my intention was to just get an end of the year meet going, if more are interested the location will change, and I'll edit my first post.

i would like to go to a meet. but so far all the meets ive seen since ive join have just been too far away. but i havnt been offended lol but if a meet was fairly close to me i would definately try to come!

well this might be lame.... but if its over 2 hrs away i prolly will not be going... with school and my job to pay for school i dont have a ton of free time.... and it doesnt have to be at my house it can be at my neighbors if you want :rofl:

Well if theres more interest lets throw up some ideas about a "central" place where everyone would be driving a similar distance.

The meet would most likely be towards the end of October. If people let me know if they are deffinitely interested in coming I can get a list going. Then maybe we can go with a location after that.

Anywho, i'm in for a meet. Since no one has said a date, what about the first weekend in November? Say Saturday the 3rd or Sunday the 4th?

I just said towards the end of October because Jason(world-insight) is making the trip up here and MAY possibily be selling his car to a local member...

Now that I think about it I'm going to move the meets location towards Rochester. Seems more of a central location for everyone in NY.
I'll take a look and determine an exact location by tomorrow.
