No longer a troll anymore picked this up yesterday from Illinois

Head home from Illinois.

The open roads of Wisconsin (sure not that great but they beat the gaytacular TOLL HIGHWAYS of illinois )

Made it back to Inver Grove around 7:50pm last night after leaving Chicago at 12:30 and driving 55MPH THE ENTIRE WAY! I saw some rather unhappy semi drivers on my cruise when I was blocking the right lane...

Pictures in the day light this morning

gotta be look-a-likes. srt4 rims are 5 lugs. Could you find out what size and make those are...they look pretty good. got anything planned for her yet?

Yup just look alikes (winter wheels ). 55mph to keep the rpm low. Bottom end rattles like no other, must be rod knock or something. And the car shakes over 60.

Edit: What are you doing browsing our MN forum? But seriously it's odd because the car was originally from TX.

I can get you the brand of the wheels later I don't remember at the moment. I know they're 16s with 205 series rubber.

As for beginning plans; umm FIX IT! there are a lot of problems with it. BUT I didn't pay much for it either. 115k miles, V6, 5 speed, cloth, sunroof, and pw/pl.

Problems I can think of off the top of my head:
1. Broken Cupholder
2. Sunroof won't move
3. Cracks in front and rear bumpers
4. Headlights both have water condensation and have cracked lenses.
5. Missing Foglamps? Light on the dash comes on but they are no where to be found
6. Aftermarket deck buttons don't work (need to use remote)
7. Blower motor only blows on high (probably the resistor or somethin)
8. AC not working
9. Engine knocks badly and leaks oil
10. Car shakes at over 60 probably because none of the tires match and or are out of balance

Other than that it is a perfect car  Paint is decent and there aren't any major dents. Eventually it'll be an upgrade from my Probe

As for plans, I have plans for customizing those wheels a bit. Then fixing all the odds and ends. Also have an SVT 2.5 bottom end with heads that I'm going to reassemble and drop in there. Still looking for SVT cams but I'll probably hold off on the intakes and just use the stockers til I feel the need to upgrade. Really I just want to do the cams because I won't ever want to open the valve covers back up afterwards. Also figure I'll throw a set of headers on there while I've got the engine out and a brand new SVT clutch kit to go with my SVT flywheel. It should basically be an SVT drivetrain someday

Sure why not, $1160. Might not have been the greatest deal due to mentioned issues but got the car home for under $1200 so I'm not complaining.

Exactly my first thoughts. I think the wheels are exactly the same. Nice buy!

Paid $2000 for my SVT  Just don't pay attention to the rear bumper cracks or drivers door. LOL. Good price though....and since you have the bottom end already you are sitting good. :)

Hmmm were those Eliminator wheels Italian? These wheels say made in Italy, other than that I couldn't find much for markings. The only two center caps on them don't match

From what I could find, the Eliminator had Enkei VX-1 rims from TSW, in 18x8.

The rims appear to be AT Italia's but it doesn't look like they make this model anymore.... Though I'm thinking I can still get the remaining center caps through tirerack since they have other AT Italia models with the same center cap design.

Holy crap I have now realized what a huge pain it will be to fix the sunroof ( If i actually fix it that is ) And I now know why the 01-02 would've been much better. I'm gonna try and talk my pops into making a new track setup for me out of aluminum we'll see how that goes. Since the car is in the garage now I'm gonna just pull the entire assembly and see what I can come up with I think. With an $800 price tag on the replacement ones I'll try for a used one, I know I can find them for anywhere between 300 and 500. If my homemade jobber doesn't do it (which I've read I have bad odds) I can always put it back together closed. We'll see how that goes

In the meantime this cougar won't be on the road driving for a while

Check some junkyards for an entire replacement sunroof assembly.

I've sent an email to a local salvage yard that has an assembly from an 02 listed for 300. Local junk yards where you pull the parts yourself are definitely not going to have an 01 or 02 coug around me, they have mostly mid 90s cars.

Does that kid with the blue SHO and black CSVT go to dunwoody by chance? I walked by the same parking spot for a Black CSVT forever and now a blue SHO parks there....hmmmmmm.

Yeah, I liked his Csvt but that blue SHO is in need of some work lol. Which reminds me I need to find some lowering springs or coilovers. Its kinda weird how I havent run into him yet though. I know he sees my car its hard to miss it.
