i was cruising e-bay and searched for "zetec" for ne thing good and found a bunch of these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STAINLESS-HEADER-DOWNPIPE-FORD-FOCUS-00-05-2-0-ZETEC_W0QQitemZ270166295815QQihZ017QQcategoryZ1331 95QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). i know they say they're for a focus zetec, but would they work on our motor? i'm wondering cuz they're only like $125 shipped when others from zxtuner and promotion are $300ish.

edit: also, i searched for zx2 for a header, and came across a bunch of 4-2-1 headers. i know that zxtuner and promotion has 4-1. is one better than the other?

the header will work if you make a custom downpipe. the focus exhaust passes down the center of the oil pan where ours passes down the passenger side of the oil pan.

i wouldnt even waste your time with a shorty header. way too much work to make them fit.

4-2-1 is always better. No point trying to cram all those streams together all at once. I have an OBX 4-2-1 on my Saturn.

the shorty would work, but you'd have to have a flange made for the stock cat to connect to the header. look around, crazyolcougar has a focus shorty header on his car. the 4-2-1 for the focus and zx2 wont work because of the oil pan clearance. if you were to go with a 4-2-1 try searching a junk yard for the stock exhaust manifold from an svt focus and then have a custom pipe made to connect it to your exhaust.
