Next meet planning/discussion

Ok, we were talking at Badazzfest II over the weekend and there seems to be considerable interest in doing one last meet before winter. Some time in October or early November seemed to be the most popular timeframe.

A lot of different ideas were kicked around, from drag racing to paintballing to going to a drive-in. Paintball seemed to be a VERY popular idea, and I think it'd be a lot of fun myself. :)

Anyways, vote on the options listed above, and I'll also list potential dates. I'm intentionally leaving October 13-14 out of the mix because Moraki already has a meet planned for that day and I don't want anyone to interfere.

Also, for the love of christ, if you're not from the Midwest and/or have no intention of going, please don't be a tool and vote for no good reason.

I voted for everything but the drive-in! but I didn't vote for any days because whenever it is, I'm sure we can work it out!

Also, Bri and I were kinda talking about possibly me and Heather planning a Dave and Busters meet (if that's what we ended up deciding on), just so that the womenz can get into it! What do you think Heather? ;)

To be honest though, and this would be TOTALLY up to David and Tiffany, but, it appears if we're gonna drag on Friday and do paintball on Saturday, Great Lakes Dragway would be the best place to do it, and I found a pretty promising paintball place in Mukwenageno or what the hell ever its called, its right off 43. :)

Well . . . and this is totally up to you guys, but you mentioned your parents' house being close to Great Lakes Dragway . . . if they were cool with having it there, we could hit the drag strip on Friday night, make the relatively short drive to Union Grove on Saturday for paintballing, and then come back for drinking and shenanigans Saturday night. :) Thats just my idea, and I don't want to assume anything cuz I know you'd have to talk it over with your parents, but it appears that would be the most convenient way to roll. :)

I looked at Byron and Cordova for drag racing and neither of them have TnT sessions on Fridays in October, we'd have to go on Saturday afternoon, and I think we'd be better off paintballing Saturday. The one thing I'd say about paintballing is we should try to find a place with indoor AND outdoor courses, just in case the weather's crap. :)

well I should probably be putting in my 2 cents but I have zero interest in paintballing... its just something I dont do.

anyways if you are interested in paintball, there are 2 places I can recommend, one is in milwaukee, paintball dave's is a decent place.... but if you want to make the trip out closer to the madison area, you gotta check out Apacolipse Paintball, that place is incredible.

Haven't done it for a while but me and the friends liked this local place that was basically in the woods. Did basic team eliminations or capture the flag type events. Something about staying in a small confined space behind inflated geometric shapes and shooting balls by the thousands seems kinda ridiculous to me. I mean the idea is to resemble warfare? that crap on ESPN does not.

I am thinking if you guys wanted we could do the paintballing inthe afternoon on saturday and at night do the drag racing and then after get drunk and pass out. I only say drag racing later because when we were there during the day it was pretty packed,later on at night all the ricers are out and theres considerably less people. Plus the temps are ideal for all of us. Rob and I last time must of ran 8 times right away when it was alot later in the evening. Although if this does get pushed all the way till november, it may not be such an issue anyways. I just want to party again soon:biggrin:

Yeah I've only gone once and it was in the woods. That was way more fun that what the ESPN stuff appears to be.
