Well, I haven't said much about it since I didn't want to jinx it, but I put a contract in tonight for this...
It's not definite yet, but it's been verbally acknowledged and accepted.
So, check it out, let me know what you think. :)
They have until Sunday to ratify it or make changes...

Update:
Contract accepted with very minor changes.
Home inspection repairs are all being made.
Pics below in post 12.
Settlement is September 28th. :)

Not going to happen. :disgust: Driveway is outside of the fence and I don't drive like an idiot.

IIIIIIIIIIII think we have a new meet place:-P Nice Nikki!
Most definitely, if everything works out.

The contract was accepted today (with very minor changes) so hopefully it will pass a home inspection this week and we'll settle in September!!

Thanks guys!

I had the home inspection tonight and took a few pictures. I couldn't be too invasive since there are people living there, but you'll get the idea anyway. :)

Update:

There was a lien on the house (for $0), but there none the less that we've been trying to get released for about 3 weeks now.
The seller has been a total jerk about the whole process and can't seem to understand why I wouldn't settle with a lien on the property. Yeah, right.
Soooo, it's now over 2 weeks past the scheduled settlement date (putting him in breach of contract for failing to deliver a clear title by September 28th) and things still aren't falling into place. My mortgage rate lock expired on Friday (and rates have since gone up).
This weekend we all discussed options, and how nice it would be to tell the guy to shove the house up his butt, so today I did.
Instead of buying that house, I'm going to buy the one I'm living in now from my parents. :)
This is a good thing for a few reasons:
1 - I know the history, what's been replaced (just about everything) and what needs to be replaced.
2 - No moving or changing of the address on everything!
3 - More space.
4 - 4 bathrooms.
5 - Club basement with pool table and bar (that has hosted many NECO gatherings).
6 - Big deck.

We still have some details to work out, but I think this is the better option, minus the fact that I don't get my pool. :(

So, you're all updated. Depending on when the meet falls and how much work gets done in the coming weeks, we may have a pool table here available. The basement is in disarray and we need to get a new TV for down there, so we'll see how things go. If not this time, we have the option for next time. :)

Well congratulations on picking up the house. Sorry it has to be this way...

See now the owner is going to regret that decision. More than likely, he'll have to lower the price on the house to sell as more houses come onto the market.

Congratulations! Sorry about the other one. :(

Yeah, the average price has dropped significantly, even since I first started looking. He's definitely going to have to do something with it. Oh well, his fault. Jerk. :)

Haha! His loss! Your gain! Good luck with your NEW house!

Where are your parents going?

One already bought a house about 5 minutes from this one and the other will be living with me. :)

Congrats Nicky on getting a house around here.

I'm thinking of buying next year but that depends on getting the job I want. We shall see when March rolls around.

Where the hell have you been!?
Thanks Mike. :) How's that pretty contour coming along?

Maybe one day I'll tell you over a beer or two.

But the contour still sits in SC growing roots and collecting dust. I last took a load of parts home in May or so and haven't been back since.

:( Well that's no good. Every time I'm in the Annapolis area I keep an eye out to see if I see it around. You'll have to let me know when it's back!

you'll probably see my other one around before too long. It won't be near as nice, actually more like poop, but it will be 3.0 goodness and a lot of new parts.

As long as I don't see it like the black one.
Let us know when you're ready for help with it. :)
