cougar stripping

Well 4 of us got together this afternoon and went to town stripping the cougar that. southsidecougar is helping part out. everything is in really good shape. for what is left.

Yep thats all the change that was under my seat and stuck to the rail. An exact toal of $3.99 (if only it was 1 more penny!) I also found a paper clip and bobby pins from the previous owner. I had to celebrate by eating one of my old wintergreen lifesavers i found also :biggrin:

After installing that intake i noticed my gas mileage go through the roof. I grannied it all the way home and manage to get 37 MPG on the highway.
Don't let me forget to go back there and get my Damn Coil Overs! :rofl:

I was thinking about it but I have yet to play/work on the SC'd Coug I bought a few weeks ago. I've been out of town every weekend since I got it and will be gone again next weekend....... I'm torn

True 3 of them but the stock one is at my mother's place in FL. So the two I have up here are a go fast and a loud car. The go fast needs some work to get finished. If anyone wants to help you are more than welcome to. I need to install a new fuel pump, some msds goodness, the entire interior (I mean everything inside the metal) and a few other things.

I also have 9 gauges I think. Large Tach and Speedo, Boost, Air/Fuel, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Water Temp, Volts and one more I don't remember. I need a place to put all these and I know the previous plan was to build a custom dash. I'm not sure I want to go completely custom but something that incorporates the stock dash would be nice. Any ideas on that would be appreciated.

As for the extra parts I have, I'll be listing them eventually. I think most of them will be used but I know I have some 3L parts I probably won't need. Unless someone wants to help on a 3L build :evil:

Dude I'm willing to lend a wrench or two. We really need to set up a weekend for a mods meet. I'm thinking the 1st Sunday of each month would be cool.

BTW i recently discovered that the HVAC panel has the perfect size holes to fit standard size gauges.

Weekends are the ONLY time I can work on the car because it's up in Ballground and I live near downtown. I should be up there for the holiday weekend getting some stuff done. Hopefully a new fuel pump, headers and some of the interior in place, we'll see how far I get.

The ranch is plenty big enough for however many people want to come and have a meet sometime. I just have to make sure it's cool with my friend but she's pretty chill so I doubt there would be an issue.

I think this car is going to be pretty fast and handle really well when it's all said and done. As far as the 3L build, I have a few parts and of course would need lots more but it's something I may want to do in the future.

Let me make sure I can get the fuel pump in time. I also need a service manual or a build manual because when I say there's nothing in the interior I mean basically nothing. You could sit and rest your back on the firewall nothing. Also, if we do this and you don't like dogs you shouldn't come. She has a Great Pyrenees and he's pretty big but really nice.

I will ask her this weekend and see if she's ok with it and then I'll let you guys know. If you can make it at all that weekend great, if not we can do it another time.

My brother had a black cougar for a while. It had a kit on it. Now he has a red one with a full roush kit.
