Trunk for a few reasons,

1. Better weight distribution
2. Space savings for V6
3. For a CAI
4. Because they want to spend in upwards of $100 to add a mod to their list.

As for the IMRC, there isn't one.

And oh...wrong section, this belongs in 2.0 performance.

Also forgot for most turbo setups needs it out of the way.
Mostly V6 need it relocated for space. Its tighht in our engine bays.

Why? Those look like pretty general Cougar questions to me...

but nothing like interior cougar questions.

It is inside the trunk you could argue.

I dunno.... back at Cougarfest 2004 I think it was... Joe (nuty1der) took me for a ride in his car (an I4) and that thing was a monster... I'm not sure what he had done to it, but when all the v6's were flooring the gas, he was sticking RIGHT with them. I actually asked him a few times if he was SURE it was an I4

At the time I think it was just intake and exhaust...But yeah..The I4 feels like it has some pull.

come on now, there is no way my little four banger engine weighs the same as a V6...i think our curb weight is actually closer to 2700 pounds..

The I4 block is Iron where the V6 block is aluminum. Thats why the numbers are so close.

I remember that. It was actually 05, but who's counting. Like Ty said, just basics, intake, exhaust, wires, and coilpack. Everything else is bone stock.

I thought the v6 had 170? That is how 90% of automotive sources report it... If they wanted to say that it made 165 on the atx, that would still techinically be wrong since that is crank hp...

Right: 170 hp, 165 ft-lbs
