I am gonna pass on on cosmetic upgrades for my coug and focus on performance now. I was just wondering...after I purchase the nautilus stage one turbo kit from nautilus, what all will I need to complete the install and to get my car running smoothly. I am looking for a price range to start saving towards. I have a stock internalled 2.5L V6. Only performance mods thus far are GMK full cold air intake and magnaflow cat-back. I am gonna assume that I will need a chip of some sort, headers, battery relocation kit, etc.? Things like that are what I want clarified. I'm the type that wants a good price estimate and every part purchased and ready to go before I ever make a move.
So what else will I have to do, and approx. what will it cost me?
(Anyone near north-eastern indiana that may help me install all this stuff once i get it?)

have you checked out their website? it lists what you will get and you get everything you need except something to tune the car with, ie you need to buy a chip or an xcal2 from them also.
if you followed any of the threads here or on CEG the kit bolts to the stock exhaust manifolds therefor you can have stock exhaust manifolds w/pre cats or headers. also a build mtx is recomended ....

yea, the stoc diff's barely last with a 3L. that should be your first investment. Maybe a new clutch also.

Okay. That's not too bad. Basically what I was thinking. Thanks.
Where's the best place (price-wise) to get a torsen or quaife differential?

The "best" place changes weekly, depending on supply and demand. Terry Haines (mailto:secondline@ameritech.net) has the best pricing on the Quaife. If you want the Torsen, you can order through any Ford dealership, but most folks here order through either Bill (800) 791-6436 or Steve (800) 792-1050.

Terry has a great price on the quaife, but terry is not a retailer. He will not sell it for that price.

Last I heard the Torsen's were getting difficult to find?

best bet is to wait till one pop's up on the fs section. Clutches and flywheel's come up all the time cheap.

I have a spare torsen diff. I've contemplated selling if I don't do the MTX swap

I sell the Quaife I am a dealer for Quaife I can get them for you $650.00 they went up on the price lately because the demand went down since ford uses less of them now then before.

from what Terry told me the Quiafe has wear surfaces that can be replaced when they wear out. The torsen doesn't have wear surfaces and when it wears out it needs to be replaced. The Quiafe also has a life time warrenty also.

Nautilus sells Quaifes for $659.
BAT sells the Torsens for $619 I think.

I paid just a little over $500 ($512 or something before shipping) for the Torsen I bought back in April. :)

I have had both the torsen and the qualife at different times in my car, and I would say that the Qualife is better for auto x/ roadcourses, but the qualife is better for straight up dragging. I love both though and the differences are very minimal... ie. the qualife is still good for dragging and the torsen is still a fine diff for auto x. Now does that make any sense?!!?!?!

Not at all! Have you been drinking again?!? If I was to take a stab at interpreting the above paragraph, it sounds to me like you felt the Torsen was better than the Q-U-A-I-F-E :poke: for dragging.

Oh dear....... I should have waited a few hours to post.
I'll take another stab at it! I loved both, but the Torsen seemed better for straight line traction and the quaife was better responding for traction in and out of corners. Yes, quaife does have a lifetime warrenty, but I haven't heard of anyone breaking a torsen or quaife in a Contour/Cougar application yet anyways. Both diffs are light years ahead of the stocker, so I wouldn't fret too much over those options.

i would probally reommend getting the msds headers with the build from nautilus to complement the turbo system. also the xcal2 and the PRP will help the tuning intensely
