Seriously.... after so much discussion about where the majority of members are from, we need a new updated version of the map - so here it is.

Well, generally people that go into the CF section are expressing interest in going/or have already been. Even people that haven't gone should have a say in it. :) Equal opportunity!! :tongue:

location and all the debate about it is kinda funny though. It seems there are two strong opinions on the same side of the argument:

1.) veteran CFers will go no matter the location
= or =
2.) it should be centrally located to the veteran CFers

So which is it? Is the 1st not really true? or is the 2nd really aimed more at the 'casual' CFers, not the 'true veterans'?

While I understand the need to plan toward those who have attended in the past, it also seems that members who have not attended before are nearly discouraged from CF. And I mean that strictly from the online threads recently and surrounding past years. (This having been my first time at CF, I thought everyone was awesome and even though I'd only met a few people prior to CF, I didn't feel like a loner whatsoever - actually, that was probably the best part of the weekend with you all :grouphug:) but... saying those who have not yet had a chance to go, should not have their opinion counted is kinda harsh, again strictly IMO - and no disrespect to anyone saying it should only take into account those who have attended, and I understand the reasoning of why have someone with no intention of being part of the event have a say. But there most likely are tons of members who seriously plan to go, and just haven't had it work out with schedules yet - or they just found us :)

Yikes...I didn't make the comment to even remotely suggest that people that have never been shouldn't be considered into the mapping, but rather just because it would be interesting to take a look at a map showing where people have come from in the past, just to see if it shows a different central location than the maps that have everyone on them.

nooblet or not we have to plan partially on the people that we know will be there.

as long as there is a good proposal then it will be look at evenly. we know indy works, we know boardman works. if someone comes up with an uber proposal im sure it would win out, as long as it holds up to the others
