As some of you know, I'm a huge fan of the Simpsons, and their movie is coming out July 27. I thought I'd have a date, but she's busy that weekend. Anyone interested in a meet that Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to see the movie?

I love the simpsons! Well, more, family guy but that movie didn't deliever like I thought it would.
I would want to go, but I have this way of making things come up out of no where, so, I shouldn't commit. Sounds good though.

Since I can't add a poll to the previous post (D'oh!), I have to make a new thread (Woohoo!). Perhaps we can get our moderator to combine these two threads into one glorious "Best. Thread. Ever." thread.

Saturday is best for me, but any of the dates should be just fine.

That said, it looks like Saturday is our winner! I'm kinda torn about you, Henry - I want you to be able to attend the meet but I also want you to get your car back!

Well Dom just said he hopes to have it ready by this Sunday so I may end up picking it up this upcoming week(end) sometime.

#1 rod bearing was starting to spin but caught in time. So it's getting repaired.

Oh my GOD, what is going on with your motors and rod bearings? I wonder if that CR is too much- you get too high, you stress all those related components and it is possible the rod bearings are getting egg-shaped. I don't have a hybrid, rather, a full 3L. If you have problems in the future, everything went fine with my build so far and I would be more than willing to build you a motor.

Everyone probably should plan to buy tickets in advance; this is one that could sell out, I think...
That was part of the deal, lol. I'd bring him up, and he had to bring it to the meet, no copping out with the 'rolla. ;)
If I know FOR SURE who is coming, I can try to get there earlier and get them, but if I buy tickets and you don't show up, I'm going to be very unhappy!!!

I suggest the 8:15 showing, but does anyone have another preference? (Do we need another poll? ;) )
8:15 sounds good to me, we can try to meet earlier if everyone wants to have dinner first. There is a Ruby Tuesday right next to the theater.

6:30? The Ruby Tuesday right there can be hit or miss, sometimes (most of the time) it's empty, but when they're busy, everybody there is late for their movie. :rofl:

If that happens we can get later tickets. Hoyts is used to it. :rofl: Dinner at 6:30 works.
That will give us enough time to eat and be ready for the movie.

I'm not sure if I'll have mine. I'm planning to bring it but if I'm too nervous about that bearing I may have the Impala.
I had a wheel bearing go on mine, it held up for a while before I got it fixed. I guess I caught it early. But I understand your apprehension there.
I think it's been a while since the Impala has been to a NECO meet anyway... :rofl:

I drove it a while the other night, at high speeds even, and didn't have a problem, and the wheel wasn't hot when I got home, so I figure it's safe to drive. But if I'm feeling squirrely about it Saturday evening, then it'll be Impala time.
Or the camper. ;)

Hey RJ don't feel too bad about the wheel bearing I drove about a year on mine b4 i replaced it. Just one of the many parts that has gone up in my car :banghead:....
A little update on my car....
We were going to try to bring it on Saturday as a surprise, BUT.. yea there is always a but with that car..lol We couldnt get the rest of the odd's & ends in b4 then. SOOO... I will def let everyone know when she is running... I should have the rest of the stuff here by next saturday:biggrin:

I was wondering if you'd have yours Saturday as a surprise for us - funny you were thinking the same thing. (I probably thought that because you seemed pretty close last time we had a meet.) Sorry you can't bring it though!

yea it def sucks.. but next meet it will be there. we are really close! & It wouldnt make any sense b/c my tags are suspended b/c of emissions so if i were to get caught driving sat i would get nailed.
