Hey, NECO people!

Many folks have been looking for a solid aftermarket clutch that can handle the power of their 3.0 N/A and F/I powerplants. Consensus used to say that the SPEC Stage 3 was the way to go, but I've read too many stories here about the clutch failing after just 1000 miles. People seem to agree that they aren't easy to drive with either. So...

Why doesn't someone setup a group buy with a Centerforce distributor? Best retail price I can find online today is $525. I'd like to see that drop 10% or more.

EDIT: StealthyWeasel informed me that PuckPuck had bad luck with this clutch. Guess nothing is bulletproof, eh?

Performance International Autoparts and Accessories - Products (http://www.performanceintl.com/shop/detail.cgi?comp=cf_dom&make=MERCURY&model=COUGAR&year=2000&desc=2.5L%20INCLUDING%20H.O.%20ENG.)

Maybe should try to work a GB out with these guys?

I not sure if he had "bad" luck, persay- well I mean, it depends on intentions I suppose. I remember reading something about his car where when he added nitrous, it started slipping and thus became a frisbee. So, if you want one just for a 3L I would think it does decent, but for your turbo 3L I wouldn't be too confident of it.
