Up for sale is my favorite truck ever owned. Its a 96 Dakota 4cyl 5spd. No pw/pl, or air; nothing to go wrong or worry about. This truck has nothing wrong with it what so ever and has never given me a problem in the past.
In my experience with vehicals this truck has been so simple and clean. Very easy to work on. Its actually built how vehicals should be built.
I just put on new breaks, plugs, cap, roter, front windsheild. I just did the oil and have always used full synthetic (The new Castrol).
The windows are tinted, which is illegal in the state of michigan and I can take the tint off if you want. The truck is dropped 4 inches which actually makes it handle a whole lot better than stock. There is also a nice fiberglass tanue cover which locks and prevents the tailgate from being opened.
Its got a nice cd player in it by JVC im pretty sure. Whats unique about this is its 1 of 2decks currently made that have a USB port on it. This lets you use your usb memory stick loaded with music from your computer to be play directly to the player in the truck. The other unit out there has the USB port on a cord which in my opinion not a good design. Mine has it mounted next to the face plate. The stereo sounds really good and like everything I have done on this truck I installed it right so you dont have any rattels or sound flaws like most "kids" stereos out there. It has a nice amp 12" sub combo which hits hard and sounds great. Im gonna miss rocking out to manditory metalica! Also radio has a key chain remote.
To be very honest, this is really a beater truck due to high mileage. However it is a canidate to be fixed up nicely if you choose. Its got high mileage but the motor runs very strung clutch is great and it holds fluids. Like I said its never given me any problems and I really dont see it ever having any.
Although I love my truck I would rather have a wave runner so I am willing to part with it. Please make me a reasonable offer. I do not mind showing the truck if you are serious about purchasing it. Im really not selling it in hopes to make money im actually losing quite a bit on it if you add it up. However, I understand that I cant expect to get more out of it because of the radio or parts on it. Ive seen some sale out there (Neons, Cavalier especially)that have been Replaced here 10,000 on the motor blah blah, And they think they can get what they paid for it and the parts. This is really a low price vehical like the rest out there, but its sharp looking, fun to drive, and is in really good mechanical shape.
**It really needs smaller tires on it, from being lowered the tires on it which are a bit bigger than factory size rub easily.
**Just some things I would do to the truck If i were to keep it
- Restore rims
- Smaller wider tires
- Roll pan ($50)
- Purple exterior CCD's (like neones but better brighter and cheaper)
- Id do the body work and take it to macco to get painted.
- From there I might consider either rebuilding the 4cyl motor or swaping for the 5.4Li v8. That 4cyl is so easy to work on and gives you so much room under hood its been great so id prolly rebuild it which would be so darn cheap to do anyways.
