As I have read there it's possible to read this forum using RSS just adding smth like
http://www.newcougar.org/forums/external.php
Is it possible to read a SPECIAL forum (like Problems and 2/5L Perf) ?

I believe it's set up to get all new posts - not a specific forum section or thread.

I tried searching and found this:
http://www.newcougar.org/forums/forum-issues/85535-forum-suggestion-enable-rss-xml-syndication-its-already-there.html
So there WAS a possibility to choose a subforum... But it doesn't work now... :banghead:

The SEO software rewrites the URL's , so something of old, like "http://www.newcougar.org/forums/forums.php?fid=66", is now "http://www.newcougar.org/forums/garage-talk/" ... it's search engine friendly and is much more descriptive than "?fid=66".

The forum ID is now going to be shown in the forum description text, just below the forum heading on the forums home page. Please bear with me on this one, I need to edit ALL forums for this and well, we have over 70 forums

Done, all forum's have a forum id in their description. You should now be able to specify which forums you want to "consume" via RSS.

wouldnt it just have been easier to list the ID numbers in a thread vs posting them on the main page??? it just adds to the clutter (along with the visibility of the moderators again)
in my experiences with VB its just easier to sticky a thread with this stuff than to clutter the main board with it all
just my .02 trevor ;)

cmon now trevor ;)
i only go to the page that lists all forums 1 out of 10 visits, so don't see a little extra 'clutter' being a problem.
I also kinda like seeing the mods on the page.
but... it would be nice to have the little RSS logo button to automatically set up the link instead of manually doing it.

Showing the moderators is only temporary so I can quickly see what forums don't have moderators ;)
As for the sticky thread, good point! I will get around to creating such a listing in a few days.

So I see that the "Drag Strip" section doesn't have a Moderator. *cough*ahem*cough*
...Sorry, seem to have something in my throat there.

always trying to gargle the bubby probe
as for the list trevor... id post publicly the public ids and for your specialty forums post those in their forums respectively for obvious privacy reasons
