i think you mean suction cups to the windshield? Well i have a valentine 1, and i dont know how big or small it is compared to your gps, but before i suction it to the windshield, i lick the suction cups and get them wet. My valentine 1 has been in place over a year now, in 100 degree weather and 15 degree winters.

I'm not sure about yours, but my GPS holder has not only the suction cup, but also a....oh I don't know what to call it...a plastic lever that after you stick the suction cup to the window you push the lever down...and then to take it off the window you un-do the lever and it pops right off.
Mine with that function has been on my window for months with out falling off. If yours doesn't have that you may want to try to find a better holder for it.

If you're gonna mount it, lick it before you stick it.

Dont mean to be the bringer of bad news but windshield mounting anything in almost any state is illegal. The only thing allowed mounted on the windshield is the rearview mirror. I got a nice fatty $80 for an FVO violation, thats Forward Vision Obstruction, for one of those notepads being on the windshield. BTW I got pulled over for a burnt out license plate bulb, just one side. I was pissed. Fought it and lost :(

double sided tape. put a circle of it on each suction cup and let it stick that way.

I know the tom tom 1 has had some problems with that.
also where are you trying to mount it.....I know that on my moms trail blazer moving the unit to the left 2 inches made a difference just from the shape of the glass oh and what states are you not allowed to have anything on the windshield???? I thought it was only cali

Garmin makes a flat dash piece for the size of their suction cup mounts in case you have a long dash and don't want the unit that far in front of you. Also if you have a GPS with any name recognition; Garmin, Magellan, Lowrance... They make a dash mount kit that is much safer to use.

Maybe your suction cups need to be replaced... Try another pair. Licking usually works.

clean the windshield and suction cup with a window cleaner or rubbing alcohol.

Old, I know, but I had a similar problem with my Sirius tuner in the Impala. I solved it by putting the car in the sun and getting the window nice and warm (and clean, as mentioned), then putting the suction cup on (use some force to push it on, too). Since I did that several months ago, it hasn't fallen, even after being out in the August sun for a week, whereas before it'd fall every time the car sat in the sun for just a few minutes.
