I would like to add a performance exhaust to my 02 mtx cougar. Along with that i would like to add a short ram intake. With the exhaust though, i really don't want it to be a whole lot louder of a sound that the stock system. Does anyone have any recommendations on an exhaust system that doesn't create a whole lot of sound? i heard on you tube a guy with a dynomax system with a resonator and that didn't sound to bad but i don't know about the quality.

USE THE SEARCH OPTION!!!!! But since I have a lil time on my hands....
TruBendz Technology Exhaust | Intake (http://www.trubendz.com/home.asp?producttype=exhaust&productfor=cougar&pagetype=main7)
click whatever you want and it'll show links to sounds of the systems

i bought 2 hks mufflers for my 00 v6, and just had a custom y pipe made after the main cat and resonator, and its not loud at all. its got a throatier tone, definitely a little louder, but it doesnt sound like a briggs and stratton on steroids.

Can't go wrong a TruBendz system. I've got the TruBendz dual exhaust w/Weapon R mufflers on my 99. With the silencers in the mufflers the exhaust has a nice tone, which is probably what your're looking for. With them removed the exhaust has more "growl" to it, especially on start up.

I like the Injen SRI, so far so good. Injen - Home (http://www.injen.com)

tru bendz borla smooth tone nice a quite that if you have a head ach then you dont want to shoot your self and if you have a decent system you can turn it up and enjoy the music with out any exhaust noise

I drove a SVT with the Trubendz 2.5 inch piping and magnaflow resonator and mufflers, it had a nice tone to it but wasn't to loud, well let as the owner still needed to install headers ..

Also road in a SVT with the Borla non-resonated and it was a great sound, not over powering, but the car had stock exhaust manifolds and y-pipe/cat.

for my car I am going with the resonated borla as I ahve headers and an optimized y-pipe, so once I get it and install it I'll let you know what I think about it

yep always pops up,

Take a look at a pacesetter monza exhaust $260 shipped from ebay, sounds real nice, no rice, no throat, just vrooooommmm!!! Has a single muffler with dual 3.5" resonated tips. Just be warned that alot of people have only been reciving 1 tip, pacesetter will send the other one free of charge but it may take like 2-3 weeks.

So how would magnaflow with dual exits and 3 inch tips sound with no resonator, and stock manifolds and y pipe? I listened to the trubendz clips and they sounded pretty nice, how does the magnaflows sound against the trubendz borlas?
