Not too bad of shape need a new right fender and bumper. i want to do the body work myself and then have it painted. the body shope quoted me 2200 so after my HUGE deductable i have about 1200 to work with. the metal didnt crease or anything on the fender so i might try to pound out the dent myself so if anyone has a stock bumper or any real big tips on how i can fix this myself would be awsome here are some pics i took with my camera right after the accident

Cuz they suck at driving . . . :cover:
jk
That sucks man, hope ya get it fixed.

Let's see... No tread, wrinkled bumper--coincidence? :poke:
Good luck with putting things right. Now would be a great excuse to put on different fenders if you were even remotely considering it, of course...

You are not going to be able to repair you bumper, it will need to be replaced. You can normally get a new one off ebay for about $200 shipped irc. That's were I got mine from.

the tires arent as bad as it looks theres about 1/8th left u just cant see it. i'm friends with a guy that does body work for ford so i'm planning on getting the bumper and fender, having him paint it and then putting it on. but there in lies the problem. the bumper looks like it glues on but idk where to start to replace the fender. what ev i'm sure i'll figure it out and be able to fix it for a reasonable price

there's a headlight lens, insert, and the back part on ebay for $75 i think. youll just have to switch the insides from the damaged one over to the new housing.

What?! The bumper bolts to the fender where they meet. Mount is riveted onto the bumper.

You have a $1k deductible .... that's just insane man. I don't know about your car but that's about 30% of what mine is worth trade in, or about 20% private party.

well when you're 20 and they consider a cougar a sportscar, insurance is hella expensive for me and up untill now i have a clean driving record still i should be able to figure it out soon enough new bumper, might be able to pound out the fender and get the paint / tire off of it with some rubbing compound. i'll try that first and if it doesn't work i'll just replace it. but i do need a bumper. so if u guys see one feel fre to post a link up for me. preferably a spruce green one lol

I may be able to get you a fender... Passenger side correct??
A junkyard near me has a green, not sure which one, wrecked cougar. In a front end collision, so i don't know if the passenger side fender is still good.
If it is good, do you want it? And i beleive there was a 99/00 passenger headlight in mint condition kicking around there to.
Want a quote on both?

Sorry, fender was the wrong colour, it was green, but not your green. And the passenger headlight is gone. Only the drivers side left.

I bought my Cougar when I was 20, and got a wreckless op about a week before i turned 21 and my insurance was never so bad I needed to have a $1000 deductible. You can't possibly be saving enough off your premiums for it to be worth it.

doesn't matter, and yes it takes about 100 dollars a month off of my premium.

You need to switch insurance companies.
Yea, 1st i would get new tires, then with your 'good' tires, go find your self some insurance quotes...
I wonder who will be next with a wrecked/crashed cougar O_o

I'm just saying ... when I was 20 I had full coverage on the Cougar with a not clean driving record and was paying somewhere around $130/mo with a $250 deductible.

idk what to tell ya? I've done my research? anyway 1300 cash settlement is plenty for TWO new fenders and a front bumper so i'm not too worried

plus paint? my estimate a while back to repaint a small part of 2 fenders and repaint a portion of the rear bumper (with no new parts) was that much.
I dunno if anyone said, but check junkyards around you the last time I went to one to get soenthing for my car they quoted me $50 on a bumper for the couger at one place.
