no front plate

i'm ready to paint my new front bumper and was thinking this would be a good time to shave off the front plate. is this a good idea or not. i know it will look hot but talking about legal to drive with out it. cougar kid please chime in i know you know. lol;)

i read something in the paper about the state voting to have only rear plates, but it probably isnt law yet. I took mine off a week ago and drove right by a few state troopers that i know saw me with no problem.

It looks 1000000% better without front plate. I don't have one, and never will.

It's illegal, tho.. Out of the 5 or so times i've been pulled over, no cop has said anything. my friends have been pulled over a few times, but one cop said for them to put it back on i beleave..


It's all up to the cop in my opinion.

i have had a few problems with not having a front plate. I just put the thing back on. It does depend on the cop though. Also I need a front plate plastic bracket thing if anyone has one for sale!

There is but normally they give you a fix it ticket. get 7 days or something to put it on. Its a WI law thats why they can give you a ticket.

I was stopped by the same cop 3 times. He said the first two time to put it on and the last time he gave me a $53 citation.

The statute says it must be mounted to the front and rear of the vehicle, so the window doesnt count... I wouldn't worry about it tho, i won't stop you if its not on there....

so it's like if i was pulled over for speeding and just add on that my front tag is not there and thanks for not pulling over if i drive through fondy with no front tag lol

all 3 of my SVT Contours have no front plate... they were never mounted... I havent had any problems yet but if I see a cop or drive long distances I will throw a plate in my front window.

drove by 3 state troopers since having mine off now, no problems. I think they wont pull you over unless they want to get you for something else too.

i got a warning so far for not having my front plate in the proper place, the front looks hottttt without one, besides whats the fun in having a car if its all legal, mine has 3 things that are not.

Ive been pulled over 4 times for not having a front plate everytime I told them I lost it, but the last time i got pulled over he told me I had to go get a new set of plates or face getting a ticket so I went to the dmv and got new plates. but my front plate is the last thing I worry about Ive got so much illegal stuff that my heart is just pounding out of my chest when I get pulled over
