Well, seeing as how things got pretty lame around here, anyone have any summer mods planned for their automobile (cosmetic, performance, etc..)? Cougar or otherwise?

I'm awaiting my Mazda6club.com stickers.
Would like to do a shark fin, but I've heard that the reception quality goes down the toilet.

Matt, the Roush bodykit is one of my personal favs. I was thinking about trying out a powered subwoofer setup that Crutchfield offers from Alpine. I want to add a touch screen CD/DVD player as well.
I used a Wings West kit, 99-00 year front and rear with the 01-02 year sides. All four pieces are molded to the car. I also had the side markers and antenna shaved.
Once I get my car back I can add my rims and tires, guages, dual exhaust, gut the precats, and upgrade the suspension.
I'm not a big fan of stickers but the body shop wants to put a small one on with their name, address and phone.

Can't forget upgrading the brakes, Baer Big Brake Kit. HID lighting kit (need to order yet).

Rear strut tower bar
Full Cold Air intake
Gutted Pre-Cats
Chopped Rear Muffler
Custom Upholstered seats
Interior paint pt. 2
Minor Weight Reduction
Interior color changing
Painted Calipers
I think thats it, I don't have much time to do these, and obviously haven't had time for months, since these are pretty noobish mods.

IMO, its the best looking kit for the cougar, WW would def be my second choice. I love my kit, can't wait to get the rest finished.
I think you'll be happy with your Alpine powered sub. Alpine makes some amazing products.
Man, sounds like you have a nice cougar coming together, I can't wait to see some pictures of it. I'll send some of mine when as well.
Good luck! I'll have to see about persuing another meet..we'll see..haha

Matt, how do you like your Borla? I'm getting mine put on this week, it's been sitting for two months in my friends garage. I'm anxious to hear how it will sound. I'm gutting the pre-cats as well at the same time of the install. Also, do you have the single or dual set up. I have the Tru-Bendz with Borla dual.

You'll love it, esp the Tru-Bendz, duals and the gutted cats.
Mine is a true Borla, single Phantom Tip and its got a awesome growl to it. It's nice and quiet when you are just easy driving around town or cruising on the highway. But when you get on it.....oh baby, it's good.
SRI or a CAI would make it sounds even better.
Comando has that same set up with the Tru-Bendz and its sounds really good, your ears will deffinitly be happy. I can't wait to see some pics!!!
Where do you live again? I'm temped to make a small trip and come see it haha

I have an AEM SR intake right now.
I might possibly be in Rochester on the weekend of June 30th. If I decide to drive the cougar out I'll let you know and maybe a few of us could meet up.

My sis just bought a house in the city somewhere, I have to get directions. The trip is kind of up in the air because of my work schedule. I'll be sure to let you know either way.
Back on mods, I just got a 2 guage pillar pod and blue whiteface guages. I'm toying with having all my interior redone over the winter.
Doesn't look like I'll have my borla on this week, hopefully next week.
I'm still in debate about the lowering, the car looks pretty good on the stock suspension.

I got the guages from Pro-motion, I want to use Autometer guages in the pillar pod. I'm not sure which guage types I'm going to use though. It's going to be awhile before I touch the interior. I just got too much to do with work and stuff. Right now, I'm working from midnight till 8am. As you can guess I sleep during the day so I don't get much done really.
However, last Friday I took the car to a couple shows in Rome, NY. I'm hoping to go again this Friday. I got a lot of complements and some good feedback on the coug last time.

Dude that sucks, oh well more money to put into the coog.
If you're looking in to Auto Meters, go with the C2 series. Their white faces and blue glow at night will compliment your new white face guages perfectly IMO.
Also, I have family in Rome, NY haha small world.

well my cougar is not fully gutted of it interior. door panels back panels all subs and amps. including the rack the enclosure and hatch wrap. selling it all and getting a cage installed.

Yeah, I was thinking either the C2 or Cobalt Series. The Cobalt Series appears to have a deeper blue glow that would better match my blue LED conversion in my door switches and dash. Then again, the white faces of the C2s would look better during the day.
Ever visit your family in Rome much? If your ever out this way let me know. We have atleast 4 cruz-ins during the week here between Rome and Utica. I'm pretty much the only one that brings a cougar. Most of the tuners people bring are Japs craps.

That's some nice interior work and system you got there. I'm still trying to sell my system, its not nearly as nice as yours. It's too heavy and big to ship. I think I'm going to put an add in the local newspaper and pennysaver.

I checked and if search JL Audio you will find the old post on like the second page, JL AUDIO SUBS FORSALE (this post has the pics). The photos aren't very good because they are night shots. I'm getting a camera next week, I'll take some better shots and post them.

My mechanic when on vaction for a month! Still no exhaust! Can't wait to hear it!!!!
Anyone try this or know someone who has?
Use a plasma cutter to take apart the converter, straight pipe it and weld it back together. Use O2 cheaters.
