Took place in my first event today in Des Moines, IA. We had enough time to get in 6 runs per person, I don't have my actual times yet because I didn't write them down. But, I will post them as soon as they become available. My fastest time of the day was a 45.989 and the rest of them were in the 47 to 48 second range.

All in all it was a great time. Had fun, got sun burnt, burned rubber, made some new friends.

Some pics by me, some by my little brother.

why was the civic running EM? the only one ive seen was tired of getting spanked in SM so he bumped up. You say you placed, what place? and out of how many?

and time to make some real numbers lol

oh yeah, and good job i guess, how did the 18's hold up

Gabe's civic was running in E Prepared, no idea as to why though. I don't know why I said placed because I certainly didn't. Meant to say I participated.

Hard to say since it is relatively stock looking, but a stripped interior would do it.

You need to get your eyes checked homey . . . its hard to see if its a P or D, but I'm damn sure it ain't no M . . .

Jason, the 18's held up well for the event. Not too much rubber was taken off because I was certainly taking it easy for most of the day, but I did notice that even if I pushed it a little bit I would start sliding through all of the corners. They are great for daily driving but definitely not meant to be pushed hard at all.

Here is the civic owners cardomain. Lists his mods. (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2043390)

Justin, I got some 16's with race rubber on 'em! You can have 'em for $150 shipped.

Join the 'bitten by the autocross' bug crowd! There's nothing quite like driving hard, and coming off course with your knees shaking so hard you can barely walk!

Ooooo, lookit me with my 5K post!

Yeah, that is kind of a problem! Well, I'm bringing them to Fest anyway. I have no use for them, so they might as well go to someone who can use them.

kelly if justin doesnt take them i may. im gonna burn through my v700's at the evo school and my slicks will be done after this season

tnkgurl

Jason, the rubber comes with the wheels attached. :) Not to mention, the rubber is Victoracers. That would be a big step backward from your V710's.

I have to for every event. I change my tires at the lot because I didn't get the Victoracer's for the Mini - they didn't have them in the size I needed. It's not hard at all. Four tires, a jack, a drill, a breaker bar, numbers, cooler, and a water sprayer to keep the tires cool. Easy peasy.

Well if you wouldn't get there so damn early you could change them faster. :disgust:  I know, I know, you had to do the tech inspections and what not.

Getting there early really isn't a choice hombre! When they say first car off at 9, that means get there at 7:30 or earlier... you have tech, preparation, registration, course walks, and numbering to do! I saw the pics of yours, and it seemed kind of small compared to the ones I've been to, with 120+ cars running, and more drivers than that. Plus at least as many car-loads of people watching.

I know that. My response was geared toward Jason making me wake up at 5:45 to be at the track to setup at 6:10. He has to be there that early because he is the one who techs car's at the events he attends.

And he didn't even do a good job teching. He passed his car and then had a stuck throttle on his second run.
