First Cougarfest for me!

Hey guys, this year will mark my first year for CF. Any advice on what to bring? I know it's probably BYOB, but what else? I won't be staying at the hotel, I only live 8 miles away, but I can stay all day 1 or 2 days.

Is this show for all 'Cats, or just the older styles? I have a 2000.

And NO HAZING! (Unless you're a hot chick, then maybe, if the wife's not looking.)

I unfortunately won't be able to stay for as long as I would have liked, but spending time with him is far more important before he heads back over. I'm just glad he is coming along so if we can convince him to stay an extra day, I'm definitely down for it. :thumbsup:

Since you live so close, really nothing major you'll need to consider (since you can always go home if needed to grab it, lol). You should really plan on hanging out for awhile, even into the night (as the nighttime antics are much more fun).

The biggest thing to do, and I cannot stress this enough, is introduce yourself. We're a really open group, but if you don't get yourself involved you won't have nearly as much fun as you should. ;) If needed, find me and I'll drag ya around and yell at people, "Look, new guy here". :P

I cannot stress this point enough. If you were at fest last year, you saw how badly burnt I was, I was freaking miserable for most of fest and days afterwards. Wear sunscreen fo sho.

jesus...I've been rolling the idea around for weeks, and the closer it gets, the closer i am to just going AWOL from work for the week...talk about getting screwed with a Wed-Sat 8am-7pm shift. Every time I see a CF post I either end up brainstorming how to bail from work without removing the option of returning when I'm done partying, or thinking about what I need to do with my kitty before rockin' the casbah.

So when does the first of the partying start, and when do the last campfires get peed out before the reluctant ones nursing hangovers finally admit the real world outlasted them and they have no choice but return?

...That way the new guy can see if he can make arrangements to make an appearance and show how it's done...

My first Fest aswell!

Trying to get the car preped. I got some damage to the paint that I'm trying to get fixed, but my painter fell through and is to busy, and I doubt i'll have it done before Fest. But I'm getting my windows tinted the Tuesday before Fest! But sadly, I'll have some ugly paint chips along the rocker panels. :(

Carputer is nowhere near complete. I was hoping to have something resembling a carputer, but I took out the crappy mount I had for the screen, and removed everything carputer related so I can get it all ready to be put in PROPERLY.

So are all the Ontario members meeting up in one spot and driving the whole way together? I imagine most are coming through Niagara Falls or Fort Erie to get to the states?
