Stealthy brought it to my attention in another thread that I haven't formally introduced myself to the fellow MDers. Oops.

My name's Eric, I have a 99 DTG MTX, right now the only mods are an ebay SRI, soon to become a CAI, after I get headers and exhaust.

Of course I need to get a job first, which requires my being eighteen to get the job I'm trying to get, which requires me to wait just under a month.

I live in Catonsville, although the roads in Ellicott City are better (New Cut and River Road FTW).

And, of course, here I will insert a shameless plug for my band. I am in a rock band called Off Limits. We have a show at Fish Head Cantina coming up May 27, and then another show at the Recher June 10. Check out our myspace (myspace.com/offlimitsfans) or our still half-finished website, www.offlimitsband.com

I won't be making it to cougarfest, but I hope to see some fellow NECOers at the track later this summer once I have deemed my car race ready (that is, able to make it down the track with every confidence that something won't fall off or blow up).

And yeah, thats about it.

Hey Eric! Welcome to the group. Hopefully you can get out to a meet sometime soon and hang out with us.
I'm glad Josh pointed you over here to introduce yourself!

I'm in Ellicott City fairly often (just got home from there actually, and will be there tomorrow too), so I'll keep an eye out for you.

Post some more information about your band dates, maybe we can get some people out to check you guys out!

Well, I haven't seen Nia's car in so long that I forgot. ;)

Still, I remember when Laser Red was pretty much the only color you'd see Cougars in, but now it's much less common...

Sherrie, I'm in Ellicott City now, and I'll be near your 'hood later on at Miller Brother's Ford.

Wow, sorry, I started the thread and dissapeared. I'm in the middle of my "senior project" at my school, and I'm doing yard work to make money so I can roll it up and shove it in the cat's gas tank.

Thanks for the welcome, I'm looking forwards to meets and all that jazz.

And Tigg, at Fish Head Cantina (Arbutus) the music starts at 4:30 with a band called Opposite Ends. They're actually all from my high school, and they're not bad. Then a band called Hook's Right Hand who I've never heard, but supposedly they're all right too. Then Off Limits plays. They are amazing. They will be on some time between 5:30 and 6:00. Then Passing Time plays, and they're the ones who get us alot of our shows, and they are also amazing. Coincidentally, they are also from my high school. I have no idea hosw much tickets cost.

And at the Recher (Towson), music usually starts at 6:30. The first band is a band I have never heard of, but they probably play punk rock/emo like (almost) every other band that we play with at the Recher. We will be on some time like 7:10 or 7:30 (I always forget). After us will be two more bands that I have never herad of, but they probably play punk rock/emo like (almost) every other band that we play with at the Recher. Tickets are $5 + $5 if you're under 21.

Oh and we have four songs from our second CD on our myspace if you want to hear us before going to the show.

Lastly, my cat has like mad-crazy salt corrosion that has eaten through the paint on the hood, dings and dents all about, a few surface scratches, and a nasty gouge behind the sunroof where somebody tried to fix the sunroof and failed, which is now starting to show a little bit of rust (which is bad).

I know I can fix the dents with dry ice, or something like that, but what should I do about all the places where it is quite blatantly lacking paint? There is no way I could afford a new paint job right now, so I was thinking of pairing it with when I get a body kit (which I am planning on doing) so I can just save up enough money to get the kit and get it painted at the same time.

Yeah, thats about it.

I finished my senior project about 2 weeks ago.. im at poolesville high in the global ecology magnet.. have you ever heard of it? Where do you go?

Dry ice works great, we could possibly do it at a future meet?

If you're concerned about the missing paint and rust, maybe some touch-up paint would be a band-aid until you do the paint job with the kit?

Thanks for the info. on the venue's and band's!! The Fish Head Cantina is near my old neighborhood, I've been there before. I used to live in Violetville, so it's pretty close. :)

Good luck finishing that Senior project. Such bad memories, lol.

I go to Mt. Saint Joe. I've never heard of Poolesville, but then again, I've never heard of most of the high schools people ask me if I've heard of.

I didn't know other high schools had senior projects too, but it make sense. Nothing like not having to attend the last two weeks of classes and not having to take finals (at least for us . . .)
