Another run down the track...01' ATX...uh yea

Went to Atco Tuesday night and got a run in...first time running a 1/4 mi. with it anyway, dont have the timeslip w/me at the moment but I ran a 17.4 lol terrible reaction time and of course the launch sucked...I got my 18x8" rims on, full system(2 12's in a big boy box) and I got a K&N intake Kit, an aftermarket muffler put on, "bomz" coil-overs on kybs just put on...maybe if I remove my system, put the 16's back on, install a shift kit and give it the tune up it needs then I can maybe dip into the 16's haha...

hmmmmm...i always thought that atx's were low 18, high 17 second cars stock?? u added weight and added a k&n filter and still ran faster. guess my atx is faster than i thought.:biggrin:

You'd have to do a helluva lot more to hit 16's in an ATX. That's something to shoot for though.

my atx is very tired right now (170k miles) and i ran 16.5 at hamilfest last year. best of 16.15 a couple years back. take out the weight, run the stock wheels if you really wanted to you could jack up the springs in the rear and slam the front to get the weight over the tires better.

get you some headers and all the bolt ons and a chip and youll be there

i was thinkin bout going to atco to see what i run but havent got the chance my one question is what kinda time would i be lookin at. i have a 01 mtx duratec with sri, relocated imrc and a cat-back system with a high-flow magna-flow cat. new clutch, stock 16's with hankook HRII's no spare tire
