Learnin' me some Fiberglassing...

Working at a sign shop has its advantages. One being access to some neat tools & materials.

One of the guys is showing me how to fiberglass by teaching me on my cracked Visteon sideskirts and a Micky Mouse sculpture I made in high school. Today I was sanding down some bondo work and strengthening a crack on the Visteon and I started laying glass over Mickey to toughen up the plaster of paris that he was originally made of.

Next week he's going to show me how to mold and shape stuff out of foam to prep for duplication. It's going easier than I expected so maybe I'll have some services to offer.

Cool...always good to know! Maybe you will have to show me how to make the molds, so I can use some of the Carbon Fiber material I have and put it to good use! :)

OMG!!! Do you think with some time you could make some fiberglass eyelids for the contour? I have a set of headlight you could use for a mold. I would pay decent money for a set and I know others would also. They wouldn't need to be to thick but the shape wouldn't be that easy either.

your right I could paint them on but I am not sure that I want to do that, I wouldn't need to take them off ... I have seen fiberglass ones before and they look sraelly good

It might be easier for me to use Gregs 'tour to shape the foam instead of you shipping me your headlights.
