what is a fair installation price? I have been quoted $400, $350, and $200. Should alignment be included in the price? Does anyone know a reputable installer in NC?

Alignment should be included, because with any suspension work, you need to re-align your car...

And the $200 price sounds the most like what it should be, the shop where I am going to get mine done said $150, but then I work for them so they are going to do it for $60i/expressions/smile.gif

you need to have an alignment done twice. right after an installation and after about a week. This is because the springs will settle in place, they wont sink anymore, but they will settle in place and throw off your steering wheel by about 10-15 degrees to the right, as the right side is the primary driving wheel. most respectable shops will do a second alignment check. I do at my shop.

Driving around on an unaligned car for 1 week will not hurt anything, as long as it doesn't go longer than 1 week. This being the case, I would install, waite a week, then just get 1 alignment ... at $59.95 (SEARS AUTO), I wouldn't suggest getting it done twice. Then, a month later, have them recheck just to be safe, but 1 week for settlement should be more than enough.
